Recycling yards play a significant role in the overall sustainable waste management system because they enable citizens to dispose of valuable and problematic types of household waste. 

Recycling yards are fenced-in and supervised locations intended for separate collection, sorting and temporary storage of small amounts of household waste.

In the recycling yards, citizens can dispose of their bulky household waste free of charge.
